Highlife is pleased to announce that local Eastside roots music legend Wyckham Porteous will make an in-store appearance on Wednesday May 14 at 8pm. Wyckham will play a stripped down acoustic set with bandmate Steven Drake (The Odds) and possibly others. We’ll see how many band members we can fit in the store. Wyckham has been writing and performing music since the mid 80’s, and has just released a great album called ‘3 A.M.’, produced by Andrew Loog Oldham (former manager of The Rolling Stones). Wyckham’s cover of the Beatles classic ‘Please Please Me’ has been a big hit in the UK since its release this past winter. Please join us for an intimate performance by one of Vancouver’s musical wonders. Refreshments will be served.
